【大紀元2月4日報導】（中央社）天主教教宗方濟各透過教廷國務卿帕洛林，致函天主教台灣地區主教團主席洪山川總主教，向復興航空墜河失事的罹難者家屬致上哀悼及祈禱。

教廷駐華大使館今晚表示，帕洛林在寫給洪山川總主教的信中表示，對台北空難不幸罹難者感到悲痛，教宗希望向家屬轉達衷心的慰問。
教宗將祈禱，希望罹難者永遠安息，並祈禱上帝的大能與安慰降臨在家屬的身上。
復興航空一架班機4日上午在南港基隆河墜機，復興航空高層下午召開記者會，鞠躬道歉；截至晚間9時，已有26人罹難。
