英國去年淨移民數字減少三分之一

留学生人数以及来自东欧和英联邦国家的移民人数减少，导致去年进入英国的净移民人数下降三成。

最新政府统计数字显示，截止到2012年6月，进入英国的净移民人数与前年同比减少了三分之一。
国家统计局（ONS）数字显示，2011年6月－2012年6月间，进入英国移民人数减去离开英国移民人数的净剩额为16.3万，比前年同期24.7万少了三成多。
国家统计局表示，净移民数字减少主要是进入英国的移民数字减少造成的：从前年的58.9万降至51.5万。
留学生减少
政府一直承诺，计划在2015年前将年度净移民人数降低到10万以内。
国际统计局数字还显示，来自英联邦国家的移民人数去年从前年的16.8万减少到了11.7万，而从东欧新欧盟成员国的移民人数从8.6万减少到6.2万。
同期，来英国留学的外国学生人数从23.9万减少到了19.7。
尽管如此，留学生仍然是外来移民人数统计数字中人数最大的一个项类。
