【大紀元2016年05月30日訊】（大紀元記者吳英編譯報導）美國國殤日長週未不平靜，東南部迎來熱帶風暴邦妮，中部平原豪雨成災，總計已造成5人死亡至少5人失蹤。
德州：5人遇難 至少4人失蹤
NBC新聞5月29日報導，得克薩斯州（亦譯為德州）華盛頓縣連日豪雨，目前已知4人死亡。萊拉．荷蘭德（Lela Holland），64歲，在洪水沖刷她的房子時，來不及走脫而被淹死。另外3人是被洪水連人帶車沖走而被淹死。分別是49歲的吉米·韋恩謝弗（Jimmy Wayne Scha）、達倫·米切爾（Darren Mitchell）21歲、以及59歲的Pyarali Rajebhi Umatiya。
德州特拉維斯縣（Travis County），有2人失蹤。目擊者說，其中1人一度抱住電線桿，但仍不敵洪水威力而被沖走；另1人也是連人帶車被沖走。當地警方說，週日下午發現一具屍體，但無法確認是否這2名失蹤人士的其中1人。
奧斯汀市（Austin）附近，一輛車子被洪水沖走，車上2名乘客下落不明。
另外，搜救人員正在努力找尋掉入暴漲布拉索斯河（Brazos river）的10歲男童，當時他與其他友人在河邊釣魚。
由於布拉索斯河暴漲，在Rosharon市的兩所監獄緊急撤離2600名囚犯。週日Sidmonton市也發出強制撤離令。
德州富邦縣（Fort Bend）、沃勒縣（Waller）及奧斯汀縣（Austin）則建議居民撤離家園。富邦縣警方稱是百年洪水，當地的國殤紀念活動全部取消。
堪薩斯州：1人失蹤
在堪薩斯州威奇托市（Wichita），一名11歲男孩掉進湍急的吉甫森姆溪（Gypsum Creek），由於水流太急，友人抓不住他。
東南部：1人失蹤
中部平原豪雨成災，東南部的北卡羅萊納州、南卡羅萊納州及佐治亞州，也傳出不幸。熱帶風暴邦妮週日上午8時左右，在南卡羅來納州查爾斯頓市（Charleston）登陸，帶來強風大雨，風速達到每小時35英里，預估要到下週一才會減弱。
目前已造成1名海灘遊客失蹤，確定是21歲的詹姆斯·卡梅隆（James Cameron），他冒險進入波濤洶湧的海水區域。
