【大紀元2015年12月02日訊】（紐約訊）星期二（12月1日），紐約市教育局長法里娜（Carmen Farina）宣布，紐約市的免費音樂項目「SING」將會擴大到20所高中。此前，這一項目只在10所高中提供。

SING項目是教學生創作、練習和表演自己的曲目，1947年於中木高中（Midwood High School）設立。此次新增的高中當中，皇后區占四所，包括江邦高中（John Bowne High School）、貝賽高中（Bayside High School）、法拉盛高中（Flushing High School）、馬丁·范布倫高中（Martin Van Buren）等。
法里娜表示，新增的10所學校約有1.5萬名學生，2015-16財年中擴大SING項目需要投入12.2萬美元。
