【大紀元2015年06月03日訊】（美國之音報導）美國星期二向中國長江船難家屬致以深切慰問。美國國務院戰略溝通高級顧問、前國務院副發言人瑪麗．哈夫在例行記者會上說：「你們很多人都聽說了中國6月1日一艘長江客船翻沉的事故，可能有超過400人在事故中遇難。這是一場慘痛的悲劇。美方向中國和傷亡者的家屬致以最深切的慰問。」6月1日夜間，載有400多名乘客的「東方之星號」在由南京駛往重慶途中沉沒。新華社6月2日報導的最新生還人數為14人。
