【大紀元2014年11月03日訊】（大紀元記者陳曉天紐約報導）11月2日下午，紐約州40選區州眾議員華裔共和黨候選人任柏年（Phil Gim）在夫人、女兒和近20位義工的陪同下，走上法拉盛街頭，在法拉盛圖書館前造勢，向過往行人發放競選政見。

義工中有年逾七旬的耆老，也有青年學子，他們一路高喊「任柏年，加油；任柏年，當選。」任柏年表示，普選可以跨黨投票，他呼籲選民在11月4日的普選中踴躍出來投票，用選票表達訴求，發出選民的聲音。
現任40選區州眾議員為韓裔民主黨人金兌錫（Ron Kim）。
