新发现的孔雀蜘蛛种类Maratus avibus。这类蜘蛛属跳蛛科，其雄性个体具有艳丽的色彩。

绝大多数孔雀蜘蛛长度都在6毫米以下，图中的Maratus robinsoni是最小的种类之一，长度仅有2毫米。
