據信在奧林匹克建築工地有大批來自中亞的工人工作

人權觀察組織說，俄羅斯已經拘禁了數百外來工人，他們當中的許多人幫助修建2014年索契冬季奧運會的比賽場館。
人權觀察組織的報告說，這些被拘禁的工人被指控違反了移民和雇佣條例。許多人被拘禁在條件惡劣的地方。
冬季奧運會的主辦國俄羅斯已經因為通過了有爭議的立法而受到維權人士的批評。有關立法律被認為是歧視同性戀的法律。
報告說，俄羅斯當局自9月起開始搜查各種工作場所、居所和公共場所，拘禁了許多外來人口。
