俄羅斯官員說，美國情報機構竊聽內幕揭秘者斯諾登已經向俄羅斯提出政治庇護申請。
俄羅斯外交部官員金·謝維申科說，斯諾登在周日晚上提出庇護申請。克里姆林宮尚未對此作出評論。
據認為，斯諾登這位30歲的中央情報局前分析員在莫斯科機場的旅店滯留。
早些時候俄羅斯總統普京說，斯諾登如果想留在俄羅斯，必須停止「對美國伙伴實施傷害」。
