科埃略計劃進一步削減3萬個公營行業的就業崗位

葡萄牙總理佩德羅·帕索斯·科埃略(Pedro Manuel Passos Coelho)周五（5月3日）晚間宣佈將採取新的緊縮措施，以避免再次需要國際金融救助。
科埃略在對全國公眾的電視講話中說，葡萄牙的退休年齡將從65歲提高到66歲。他還計劃進一步削減3萬個公營部門的職位，另外公務員每天要多工作一個小時，使他們每周的工作時間達到40小時。
科埃略說，該緊縮計劃的大部分將在明年實施。緊縮計劃旨在在今後3年節支60億美元。
但是科埃略說，實行這些緊縮措施以後，歐盟伙伴才會相信葡萄牙對金融救助的承諾。
葡萄牙的緊縮計劃一直受到民眾強烈反對，並曾引發大規模抗議。
葡萄牙兩年前得到了780億歐元的金融救助。批評者說，之前的緊縮措施並沒有讓葡萄牙走出衰退，葡萄牙的失業率達到了17%，而且仍然處於上升趨勢。
葡萄牙的主要反對黨指責科埃略採取了過度緊縮的政策，並指責其動機是執行受意識形態驅使的政策。
