意海巡隊：逾3300難民地中海獲救 17死

【大紀元5月30日報導】（中央社羅馬29日綜合外電報導）義大利海岸巡防隊指出，他們今天協助救援3300多名移民橫渡地中海，不過在幾艘搖晃小船上卻發現17具遺體。求救信號發自17艘船隻，當地晚間其他幾項救援行動仍在進行中。這次救援行動由義國海巡隊負責協調，並在歐盟國際邊界管理署（Frontex）主持下，由德國、愛爾蘭和英國海軍艦艇協助進行。根據國際移民組織（International Organisationfor Migration），今年以來約有1770名移民在冒險前往歐洲途中喪命，人數為2014年同期30倍之多。試圖抵達歐洲海岸的移民人數大量攀升，被歸因於利比亞安全情勢惡化和氣候較為溫和。大多數橫渡海洋的移民是以利比亞為中途站。
