警方說黑人男子拒捕並試圖搶奪警員佩槍

就美國加州洛杉磯警察星期天開槍打死一名無家可歸黑人男子一案，洛杉磯警方負責人貝克為警察做出辯護。貝克說，有證據說明這名男子在被制服過程中試圖搶奪一名警察的槍。數百萬人在網上觀看了此事件的錄像，有人指責警察過分使用武力。貝克說，其中兩名警察當時都佩戴著隨身攝像機。他敦促人們在調查沒有結束前不要匆忙下結論。案發地點位於洛杉磯市中心。當時三名警察接報當地發生搶劫案後抵達現場，試圖制服這名男子。警察先用電鏢槍射擊他，但是男子倒地後又起身與警察扭打並試圖搶奪警察佩槍。警察隨即對他開了5槍。但是附近居民說，該男子並不具攻擊性，先前曾經接受精神疾病的治療，然後流落街頭。洛杉磯警方說，案發現場還有數個錄影監視器，現在警方正在檢視案發當時的畫面，並希望目擊案發過程的民眾出面提供線索。開槍的三名警員現在諭令休假，等待調查結果。
