【大紀元10月4日報導】（中央社河內4日綜合外電報導）路透社報導，越南備受尊崇的獨立英雄武元甲將軍的家人說，武元甲今天辭世，享壽102歲。

一名政府消息人士告訴法新社：「我可以證實武元甲將軍今天晚間6時8分辭世。」一名軍方消息人士證實這項死亡時間。武元甲這幾年一直在一家河內軍事醫院接受治療。
武元甲是越南20世紀最知名的人物之一，他採取的游擊戰術，相繼在1954年擊敗法軍、1975年擊敗美國支持的南越，歷史學家將他與蒙哥馬利（Montgomery）、隆美爾（Rommel）和麥克阿瑟（MacArthur）等軍事巨人相提並論。
武元甲是越南共產黨、越南民主共和國、越南社會主義共和國和越南人民軍的主要締造者和領導人之一。
他也是越南人民軍大將，曾任越南國防部長、政治局委員等職。
